“Who knew there was so much to learn about Board service? The seminar was the most productive professional development meeting I’ve undertaken in years. It was the perfect antidote to the days of watching the financial services headlines, waiting for the $700 billion bailout to pass and watching the Dow whipsaw around.”
Geraldine Leder, President, Ledermark Communication who attended Boardology™ 400 hosted by UBS Financial Services, Inc., in New York October 2-3, 2008.

“I'm on board with Boardroom Bound and think that they are doing great work! The Lou Holland Growth Fund gained two women trustees for its Board through them and now Carla Carstens is our Audit Chair and JoAnn Lilek is our Board Chair! Based on our experience with Boardroom Bound, I would recommend them to companies that are serious about making their board more diverse."

Holland Capital Management LP and the Lou Holland Growth Fund.

“I found it to be an excellent seminar…career altering experience for me and radically changed how I am managing my career strategy. The network of people that I was exposed to was priceless.”

...BECAUSE AMERICA NEEDS YOU!

Post-Enron and more recently the sub-prime mortgage crisis illustrate the need for quality governance and independence in board members. Next generation business leaders are far more diverse than their boardroom predecessors and therefore tend to be outside the system that produced these business scandals. Unlike their predecessors, next generation board directors must enter the boardroom prepped to provide the kind of quality governance nuanced by independence as well differing perspectives in order to balance tension between short term profits and opposing factors such as long term sustainability, community social responsibility and environmental impact. It is this balance in perspectives that will help right the economy, regain the public trust and maintain America’s market position in the global economy.

The Next Frontier: Independence & Diversity in the Corporate Boardroom

Only 20 per cent of the world can actively remember America’s internal struggles with building the Nation’s human capital…the step necessary for the Nation to benefit from by being able to add diverse skills and talents into the workforce. Part of America’s challenge today is to build on the development of the diversity movement. And to begin to implement Diversity Best Practices in all phases of American life, especially in business in order to begin exchanging the business culture of the elite to the diverse generations to follow, which is…in corporate practices…the step that will move the Nation along into the next frontier of using its 20th Century investment in diversity to grow and prosper in the 21st Century.
